Penthouse Chaise
2022, Solid Oak
This solid oak chaise silhouettes asymmetrical curves against stunning views of the Manhattan skyline. Inspired by river stones shaped by the flow of water, the chaise was CNC machined.
This site-specific piece was designed for the Elle Decor 53 W 53rd Penthouse, decorated by Joe Nahem of Fox-Nahem.
Designed as a member of the Ottra team during a summer internship and subsequent part-time employment.

Process
Form-finding moved from iterative sketching and clay modeling to a final Rhino 3D model, which I sliced and prepped for CNC routing.
